The first day I met you, I thought you were formidable, poised, confident, and intimidating. I probably am not the only one. However, with your iron fist and your benevolent dictatorship, I grew tremendously. Because of your lessons at Creekside, I’ve enlarged my vocabulary, fixed my grammar, and established a sound writing style. Without you, I would be in the dark. You adequately prepared me for college, from SAT I practice test to vocab tournaments and college counseling. I learned more English at Creekside than in all of my high school classes. Thank you so much for these 5-6 years of teaching me and making the better student and person I am today. Even when I failed A-1 4 times, you kept me on and believed in me for years to come, and that love and encouragement has made me who I am today. Without your help through all these years and with my college essays, I would not have all the options and opportunities that are available to me today. You’ve been a second, much-tougher mom to me and held my hand until the very end. First of all, I need to thank you for being extraordinarily patient with me for as long as we’ve known each other. I know I was never the greatest student, but despite everything you still supported me and I learned more from you than many of my teachers combined. You have an incredible wealth of knowledge and wisdom that I should have worked harder to learn from, but I’ve grown a lot from it nonetheless.
